H. I. Rowntree moves to a larger site
Henry Isaac moves the firm of ‘H. I. Rowntree’ to Tanner’s Moat. The site Henry Isacc buys is next to York’s River Ouse. It consists of an old iron foundry, with several cottages and a tavern.
