Rowntree Products

For most of the twentieth century, Rowntrees was one of the great names in confectionery and is still remembered with affection today. KitKat, Smarties, Fruit Gums, Fruit Pastilles and Black Magic continue to be much-loved household names. These products and their brands were not direct creations of Joseph – who was rather suspicious of product marketing – but they have ensured that the Rowntree name lives on. It was the company created by Joseph that provided the platform for these products to be so successful.
