York Residents’ Festival

York Residents’ Festival

We joined forces with the Joseph Rowntree Theatre, to launch our new book of Five Rowntree Walks, and to screen our archive films in the main theatre alongside a number of exhibitions on our most recent work, to go alongside the displays on the history of the Joseph Rowntree Theatre.

Bootham School’s Georgian Recital Room was the venue for an event that showcased our Heritage Lottery funded “York Remembers Rowntree” project.

Penn House was opened to the public for the first time over the weekend. 2,000 visitors attended and enjoyed rooms full of exhibitions. The event was second only to York Minster in terms of popularity during the Festival weekend! See Galleries/events for pictures.
