Job Vacancy: Executive Director (Maternity Cover)
Contract type: Initial 6-month contract with possible 6-month extension
Location: Based in our York office (with flexible working requests considered)
Hours: Part-Time (28 hours per week to be worked over 4-5 days)
Salary: £30,000 per annum pro-rata (£24,000 actual)
Pension contribution of 10% gross annual salary (employee contribution 5%)

- Can you continue the development of The Rowntree Society as the ‘go to’ place for information and advice on ‘all things Rowntree’ by gathering, analysing, interpreting and disseminating relevant content and information for our audiences?
- Can you implement a maternity cover plan, including delivery of a local heritage project and promotion of a new digital history trail?
- Can you maintain, identify, and develop collaborative relationships with people and organisations in and beyond the City of York?
We are recruiting an Executive Director (Maternity Cover) to run The Rowntree Society and its activities, working together with our committed Board of Trustees.
The ideal candidate will have a commitment to, passion for, and belief in, keeping the Rowntree Philosophy alive, experience in historical/social research and/or the heritage sector, and a track record in developing and delivering projects under a strategic plan.
